Morningside Community Council Privacy Policy


EMAIL

All E-mail correspondence with Morningside Community Council will be dealt with in confidence. 

Your personal details may be shared with other Members of the Community Council, if necessary to deal with your correspondence properly.  

Your details will not be disclosed to any third party without your express permission, except in the unlikely event that the law requires us to pass information about you to the police or other law enforcement agencies.  Information will only be shared in these circumstances if it meets the criteria set out in the Data Protection Act 1998 or other relevant legislation.  

 

STORAGE OF INFORMATION.

The secretary securely stores your email details within an encrypted and secure location.

REVIEW OF EMAILS:

The secretary will review any email information that you have provided us with after each local Council election. We will contact you at this time and if you do not respond within the following 2 month period, we will delete your data.

COLLECTING SURVEY DATA.

Any data provided in a survey remains anonymous and MCC will avoid the collection of personal data that can identify any participant.

 Any Survey Data collected will be stored securely and retained for 6 Months after the analysis of the survey is completed.

The analysis of a survey will be available from the MCC secretary and will be published on the website and Facebook page.

COLLECTING WEBSITE DATA.

MCC do not collect data in how our website is used. 

RIGHT OF ACCESS:

You have the right to make a request to get a copy of the personal information that we hold about you. You can also ask us to correct your personal information if it is incorrect. You can contact the Secretary (secretary@morningside.org.uk) for details about how to do this.
