Edinburgh City Council issues weekly Planning Bulletins listing new applications and decisions. Click in the link on the right, select the week and then browse the list for the address you want. We have provided an extract of applications and decisions for the Morningsidde CC area for your convenience.
You can also use the the Planning Portal on the City of Edinburgh website to search for information on planning and building warrant applications. Click on GO TO PUBLIC ACCESS and search for an application using its reference no. or its property address. You can examine plans and read all the documentation.

Changes to the Scottish Planning system came into force on 3 August 2009 |

These include a number of procedural changes which applicants, agents, community groups and other interested parties need to be aware of. Applications for Outline Planning Permission will be replaced by Planning Permission in Principle. Reserved matters applications will be replaced by Approval of matters specified in conditions. Applications for full planning permission will remain the same. All permissions will remain in effect for 3 years. A new appeals/review process will be introduced to replace appeals to the Scottish Government Third parties (ie those who have made comments on or objections to the application) will have a right to make representations during this review. New application forms are available from the Council over the counter and on their website, and should be used for all applications after 3 August. A planning application has been made by G&L Properties through their agent Format Design. The application reference is 09/03216/FUL and 09/03216/LBC (listed building consent) and the application date is 15 December 2009. The last date for submission of comments and objections was Friday 29 January 2010.
