Universities and Colleges

There are three Universities in Edinburgh, as well as several Technical and other Colleges. Parts of Napier University lie within the Morningside Community Council area.

Schools

There are no Secondary schools within the boundaries of Morningside Community Council. Pupils from the area generally attend one of the following:

• Boroughmuir

• James Gillespies

• Firrhill

• St Thomas of Aquin's

• George Watson's (Independent school: includes Primary and Nursery departments)

• Rudolf Steiner (Private School: includes Primary and Nursery)

Primary schools in the area are:

• South Morningside (includes Nursery department) The Parent Council has a set of pages within the school website

• St Peter's (includes Nursery department)

Morningside Community Council maintains links with all local schools. We are in regular touch with school staff and PTAs and are very willing to become involved in relevant school issues.
